Overview

Introducing an aquacultured alternative to popular Brain Coral! The Goniastrea Coral in three alluring green morphs will beautifully satisfy your need for color. These amazing combinations inject an exciting "POP" of color sure to elicit compliments as well as a bit of reef envy. The Goniastrea Coral is a great addition for LPS collectors as well as any reef aquarium enthusiast.

Care for Goniastrea Coral is relatively easy, making it an excellent choice for the beginner to expert hobbyist. The Goniastrea Coral requires moderate lighting combined with medium water movement within the aquarium. Similar to its cousins, the Favia corals, the Goniastrea Coral expands its sweeper tentacles at night well beyond the base. It is important to leave space between them and neighbors in the reef aquarium.

For continued good health, the Goniastrea Coral will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, iodine, magnesium and trace elements. It will also benefit from additional food fed weekly in the form of chopped meaty items, micro-plankton or baby brine or mysis shrimp.
